The scope of work was the design of precast girders, procurement of moulds and technical know- how of introducing the precast segmental system plus the complete prestressing work and the erection of precast girders over the deep valleys for which the special technique of launching beams was introduced. |
Construction of a fly over at the intersection of Sary/Sultan Street. The bridge consists of post tension precast girders of 30m span each.
This four level segmental bridge with access ramps, service buildings and helipad towers is designed to carry the heavy flow of pilgrims during the holy period of Hajj. Each level of the bridge is composed of three ellipses and a passage extending over 600m with a variable span of 60m to 100m. In addition, each level of the bridge deck is composed of 1260 concrete precast segments that weigh between 44 and 60 tons. FSA scope of work includes the lifting and erection of precast segments using specially designed movable lifting devices, 70 tons capacity in addition to all prestressing, horizontal jacking, and geometry adjustment works. The technical parameters of the project and the deployed resources to achieve the works within the limited time make this project one of the most contemporary challenging constructions
This Light Train project comprises of the Construction of a 13km elevated concrete guide-way and supply/installation of track work for the APM (light rail system) for Princess Noura University that will have a ridership capacity of 6200 people per hour.

This project comprises of the viaducts construction using the PSM (precast segmental method) and BCM (balanced cantilever method) for the Riyadh Metro project package “3”. The Lines included in this contract are Lines (4) and (6), each line consists of two elevated bridges “viaducts”.
The project is primarily divided to two (2) major components: road bridges constituting Airport East Interchange and Haramain High Speed Rail Links connecting the railway track to airport stations (HHR).
There are four (4) different structures constituting the Airport East Interchange under the scope of Freyssinet SA namely AP2, AP3, AP9 and AP10.
AP2, AP3 and AP10 are road bridges composed of abutments, piers and precast deck whereas AP9 is an underpass that provides access from the North to the Ring Road Express Way.
The high speed rail under Freyssinet SA scope comprises 2 links connecting the airport to Madinah at the North (link #1) and to Makkah at the South (link #2). Each one of the 2 links is constituted of 2 lines A & B for entrance to & exit from the airport. The total length of the links is 4,965m. The structure of the links is composed of segmental precast deck supported by piers with a height up to 16m. Deep & shallow foundations constitute the substructure. Long spans up to 110m are executed in balanced cantilever technique.
All decks for road & railway bridges are in prestressed concrete, as per post-tension technique.
